Terms of Service
Effective October 26, 2026
Who we are
Canvasly is operated by AB Technologies Inc., a Utah corporation (“we” or “us”). By creating an account or using Canvasly, you agree to these terms.
What Canvasly does
Canvasly is a website and a Chrome extension. While you're signed in to Canvas, the extension reads your courses, assignments and grades and sends them to your Canvasly account. Canvasly uses them to show where you stand in each class, build a study plan around the time you set aside, and offer AI help with understanding and planning your assignments.
The extension only reads. Canvasly never submits, edits or deletes anything in Canvas.
Canvasly is not operated by your school and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instructure, the maker of Canvas.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Keep your password and your extension connection code private, since anyone with them could see your Canvasly data. You're responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone else has access, email us right away.
Grades, estimates and AI help
Grade numbers are calculated from the data in your Canvas account, using Canvas's own grading rules. Canvas and your instructor remain the official source for your grades. If anything in Canvasly doesn't match, trust Canvas and your instructor, and please let us know.
Time estimates, study plans, assignment overviews and coaching are guidance, not guarantees. They can be wrong, and they depend on the information in Canvas being complete. Always check assignment instructions and due dates in Canvas.
The coach helps you understand and plan your work. It won't write your work for you, and you're responsible for following your school's academic integrity policies.
AI help has a monthly limit per account. If you reach it, your plan and grades keep working, and AI help comes back at the start of the next month.
Price, payments and refunds
The beta. Canvasly is free during its beta, which lasts until subscriptions start on October 30, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time. You're only ever charged if you choose to subscribe.
Free trial. Once subscriptions start, new accounts get a 14-day free trial, and accounts created during the beta get 14 days from the day subscriptions start. No card is needed for the trial. After it ends, using Canvasly's plan, grades and assistant requires a subscription. Your data is kept, so you can pick up where you left off if you subscribe.
Price. $7 a month, or $24 every 4 months (US dollars). Prices don't include sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. The 4-month plan starts the day you subscribe. If prices change, we'll tell you before the change applies to your subscription.
Founding members. If you created your account during the beta, or you're one of the first 100 subscribers, you pay the founding member price: $5 a month, or $18 every 4 months, for as long as that subscription stays active. If your subscription ends, the founding price ends with it and doesn't carry over if you subscribe again later.
Subscriptions renew automatically, every month or every 4 months depending on your plan, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account. You'll keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Refunds: if you were charged by mistake, or Canvasly didn't work for you in a way we couldn't fix, email us within 30 days of the charge and we'll make it right. We don't otherwise refund partial periods.
Acceptable use
Use Canvasly only for your own courses. Don't try to access another person's account or data, interfere with how Canvasly works, or use it to break your school's rules. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Your data
How we collect, use and protect your information is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
No warranty and limits of liability
Canvasly is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free, complete or online. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for missed assignments, grades, or decisions you make based on Canvasly, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes, ending your account, and the law
We may update these terms as Canvasly changes. If a change is meaningful, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. You can stop using Canvasly and delete your account at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
